Mental Health Matters
Mental health concerns don't look the same for everyone, and neither should treatment. At Sunshine & Rainbows Mental Health, we strive to address each individual's concerns, whether common or complex, through a combination of therapy, medication management, and practical skill-building. We help you move forward at a pace that feels right for you.
Schedule An Appointment TodaySupport is available for a wide range of mental health concerns, whether symptoms are new, long-standing, or have changed over time. We treat each person individually, taking a whole-person wellness approach that may include therapy, medication management, skill-building, coaching, or a combination of techniques.
Help for ongoing anxiety, panic attacks, and the physical and emotional symptoms that interfere with everyday life.
Support for consistent low mood, lack of motivation, and feeling emotional heaviness, which could include high-functioning depression.
Treatment focuses on mood stability, managing symptoms, and providing long-term support through both therapy and medication.
Treatment for intrusive thoughts and repetitive behaviors that cause distress or disrupt daily routines.
Support for trauma-related symptoms, including emotional reactivity, hypervigilance, and difficulty feeling safe or grounded.
Ongoing treatment and medication support for complex symptoms that affect perception, thinking, and emotional stability.
Help develop greater awareness, control, and coping strategies around impulsive behaviors and emotional responses.
Developing methods to help regulate emotions while managing stress to navigate everyday challenges more effectively.
A welcoming, respectful approach for neurodivergent adolescents and adults, specialized to individual strengths and needs.
We offer medication management as part of a thoughtful, whole-person wellness approach to mental health care.
When we recommend medication, it is part of a collaborative care plan.
We discuss your options, the benefits, potential side effects, and how prescription medication can fit into your personalized treatment plan.
For medications that are regulated or controlled, we require an in-person follow-up visit every
three months to ensure safety, effectiveness, and responsible prescribing.
Routine visits also allow for adjustments as symptoms, goals, or circumstances change in your care.
Our goal is not just to relieve your symptoms, but to provide steady, informed care and support that helps you to feel balanced and capable.
We see patients ages 12 and up, accept most major insurance plans, and offer self-pay as an option.
You can meet with us in person at our San Antonio office or schedule a virtual appointment anywhere in Texas.
We also offer a free 15-minute consultation if you’d like to ask questions before booking.
The initial psychiatric evaluation is $250, with follow-up visits offered at a standard rate of $150.
Insurance is accepted. Fees for ESA letters, FMLA paperwork, and ADHD or neurocognitive testing are separate.
A limited sliding scale may be available for those who qualify, and patients are encouraged to apply.

He helped me understand how my mental and physical health were connected, and together we found a plan that works. I’ve felt more seen and supported here than anywhere else. I’m really thankful for the care I’ve received.”
“It’s hard to put into words how much working with Steve has helped me. His approach is kind, down-to-earth, and understanding. I never felt rushed or judged—just supported. For the first time in a long time, I feel like myself again.”
